Mr. Waldrip has more than 34 years of experience working in the midstream sector. After graduating from Louisiana Tech with a Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering in 1977, he began his career as an engineer with Texas Eastern Transmission Corporation in Houston. After various early engineering assignments in his career he held commercial and managerial positions at several energy companies. He has extensive background in the natural gas gathering segment along with experience with natural gas liquids and crude oil facilities. Mr. Waldrip completed an Advanced Management Program at Indiana University Graduate School of Business in 1992. His accomplishments while in executive management positions include:
- He was responsible for all commercial and operational functions as COO for Lewis Energy Group including drilling, gathering, construction and engineering activities. During his tenure, he increased EBIDTA 400% with significant increases in pipeline throughput, number of operated wells and proven reserves.
- He served as Vice President and Southwestern Region Manager for Delhi Gas Pipeline, where he was responsible for all commercial, engineering, operations and administrative matters associated with Delhi’s assets in south and west Texas, including direct P&L responsibility. He increased dedicated reserve base from 25 to 250 bcf while increasing throughput from 100 to 450 mmcf/d. He managed a significant increase in annual capital spending while reducing operating and G&A expenses. He completed several significant acquisitions during his tenure.
Mr. Waldrip founded Flatrock Energy Advisors in 2000. He is a Registered Professional Engineer in the state of Texas. Mr. Waldrip has held various positions with the United Way in San Antonio, the Board of Zoning Adjustments in Grapevine, Texas, and he recently served as chairman of the Leadership Council for Coker United Methodist Church.
