Bill Waldrip has more than 34 years of experience working in the midstream sector. Currently he is one of the Managing Partners of EnCap Flatrock Midstream and located in San Antonio.
Mr. Waldrip founded Flatrock Energy Advisors in 2000, which until 2008 provided advisory services for the midstream energy sector. In 2008, Flatrock Energy Advisors partnered with EnCap Investments and created EnCap Flatrock Midstream (EFM). Under his direction, EFM has raised over $6 billion dollars of institutional capital to be invested in growth capital of midstream companies.
EFM has formed 18 midstream entities to date, with four of those companies being fully realized in 2012 for $3.7 billion. Currently Mr. Waldrip serves on the board of seven of these midstream companies.
His past responsibilities include serving as COO for Lewis Energy Group and as Vice President and Southwestern Region Manager for Delhi Gas Pipeline. At Delhi he was responsible for all commercial, engineering, operations and administrative matters associated with Delhi’s assets in South and West Texas, including direct P&L responsibility.
After graduating from Louisiana Tech with a Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering in 1977, he began his career as an engineer with Texas Eastern Transmission Corporation in Houston. After various early engineering assignments in his career, he held commercial and managerial positions at several energy companies. He has extensive background in the natural gas gathering segment along with experience with natural gas liquids and crude oil facilities. Mr. Waldrip completed an Advanced Management Program at Indiana University Graduate School of Business in 1992. He is a Registered Professional Engineer in Texas.
Mr. Waldrip is a past chairman of the Leadership Council for Coker United Methodist Church. He is currently serving on the SAM Ministries Board of Directors.
