Managing PartnerMr. Lemmons has more than 26 years of experience in the energy industry. After graduating from Texas A&M University with a degree in petroleum engineering in 1984, he began his career as an engineer with Texas Oil & Gas Corporation. He worked in a variety of upstream and midstream engineering, project development and corporate planning roles. In 1992, he joined the producer finance business at Enron Corp, and over the next 10 years served in a variety of energy finance and commercial origination leadership positions in the company. He brings a significant depth of expertise and experience in the areas of upstream reserves analysis and midstream economic modeling and commercial structuring. Mr. Lemmons received his Master of Business Administration degree (Phi Kappa Phi) from the Mays Business School at Texas A&M University in 1988. His professional accomplishments include:

  • As a Vice President at Enron Corp, he played a leadership role in closing more than 20 energy finance transactions totaling more than $350 million. Structures included volumetric production payments, development drilling partnerships and private equity investments. He restructured and managed Enron’s worldwide Associate Analyst Program with responsibility for 850 professionals, including a recruiting and professional development staff of more than 15 people.
  • As a Drilling & Production Engineer, Corporate Planning Analyst and Gas Supply Engineer at Texas Oil & Gas Corp, he was directly involved in the drilling and completion of more than 150 wells in the Arkoma Basin. He was responsible for developing Delhi Gas Pipeline’s corporate level business plan and capital budget in 1991.

Mr. Lemmons joined Flatrock Energy Advisors in 2002. He is is a Registered Professional Engineer in the state of Texas and is a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers and the Society of Petroleum Evaluation Engineers. He is a member of the Corporate Advisory Board of the Mays Graduate School of Business at Texas A&M University and currently serves as an at-large member of the Leadership Council of the Association of Former Students at Texas A&M. The Lemmons Family actively supports The Hill Country Daily Bread Ministries, Young Life of Boerne and Shriners International including the Shriner Children’s Hospitals.
